The 5.11 Name…

BrigadeQM’s most popular 5.11 item, the 5.11 Tactical Pants—the ones with the patented tactical retention strap and slash pocket design—were originally created for the sport of rock climbing. “5.11” is a rock climbing difficulty level defined by the Yosemite Decimal System as, “After thorough inspection, you conclude this move is obviously impossible; however, occasionally someone actually accomplishes it.” 511 apparel and gear are built for the professional who see challenges, not barriers.
